The BJP on Wednesday released a list of four candidates for 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, fielding Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur against Congress party's Digvijaya Singh for Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal seat. The BJP's MP Alok Sanjar is currently the sitting MP from the seat.
While the BJP has fielded Ramakant Bhargav from Vidisha, Raj Bahadur Singh has been fielded from Sagar.

Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday, adding that she "will contest the elections and will win them too." As per reports, she will contest against Congress party's Digvijaya Singh from Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal. She is an accused in Malegaon blast case as the bike used in the blast was registered in her name.

Rajasthan CM and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday said he read in an article that Ram Nath Kovind was made the President because of his caste. He said the decision was taken to benefit the BJP in the Gujarat elections, which the party was "afraid" of losing. He added that Kovind was chosen as President over LK Advani.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday offered prayers at Thirunelli temple in Kerala's Wayanad and performed rituals at Papanasini river nearby, where his father and former PM Rajiv Gandhi's ashes were immersed in 1991. Rahul, who arrived to the temple in Malayali traditional attire mundu, performed rituals for his grandmother, father, forefathers and Pulwama attack victims, Congress said.
