Quitting Social Media for 30 Days on My Phone

I quit using social media on my phone for 30 days. I still used it on my computer, but not having social media on my phone made a huge difference. I wanted to do a digital self care because I knew I was ALWAYS checking my social media accounts like facebook and instagram on my phone. Deleting social media on my phone was beneficial in that I got to be more present and realized I had a slight social media addiction.
I learned a few things from my digital detox (or social media detox on my phone). One was that I compare myself SO MUCH to other people when I use social media. Social Media self care is just being more mindful of what social media does to us -- good or bad.
